NHCIBOR December Communications Committee Meeting Minutes

January 4th, 2010

NHCIBOR Communications Meeting Minutes December 16, 2009

Attendees: Chris Nadeau, Bob Anderson, Bob Crossley
Excused:  Rebecca Lee, Jeff Lewis, Johnna Lorry, Doreen Rainville, John Jackman, Bayard Kennett
Introduced Bob Crossley to the Communications Committee.
Bob Anderson discussed that he has $10,000 of discretionary funds to look at revamping the website. We are negotiating with Avectra for purchasing business software. This software also has capability for front end software to manage our website and will be the new system for emails, calendar, database, and newsletter. This software will also allow us to take advantage of newer technology (i.e. facebook, twitter, text message blasts, etc).
Bob requested referrals to Website designers. Bob Crossley suggested Union Street Media. Chris suggested 36 Design. We will invite up to three companies to interview, then decide upon a final company. We will shoot for mid January for interviews.
Bob Anderson will be the interim representative to the Sponsorship Committee and he will bring Bob Crossley with him to consider eventually taking over as the liaison from the Communications Committee.
We discussed communicating with members north of Concord. Chris suggested incorporating the new idea for after hours into different venues around the State. We should speak with Tom Duffy about ideas.
Meetings will continue to be the third Wednesday of each month at 8:30. We will try to incorporate meetings via conference call every other month.
Next meeting is January 20, 2009.
