Fulcrum Associates & LaBelle Winery Team Up to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive
Reservations required for September 30 blood drive; COVID-19 antibody tests administered to all donors
Amherst, N.H. (September 1, 2020) – Fulcrum Associates, a leading construction management firm in southern New Hampshire, will sponsor a community blood drive for the American Red Cross on September 30, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at LaBelle Winery, 345 NH-101 in Amherst, New Hampshire. Blood donation timeslots are available every 15 minutes. All donors will have their blood tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Additionally, all donors will receive a free t-shirt, a free haircut coupon from Sport Clips and be entered into a raffle to win a gift bag provided by the American Red Cross.
Donors of all blood types are needed, particularly those with types O-negative, B-negative and A-negative. According to the Red Cross, type O-negative is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused to anyone, and is often used to treat trauma patients. Blood is routinely transfused to patients with cancer and other diseases, premature babies, organ transplant recipients and trauma victims.
“There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life,” Massone said. “With a simple blood donation, we have the ability to help save the life of someone who could be a coworker, loved one or neighbor.”
