President’s Message

Like many, I look forward to January 2021 and leaving 2020 in the rear view mirror. This year was challenging on so many levels for all of us personally and professionally. But at the end of all this and what we’ve been through, I believe we will come out of this stronger both individually and as a community. And what’s going to be exciting for commercial real estate in 2021 is that there will be entirely new industries to work with that have literally sprouted up overnight.
In these challenging times the board has still managed to conduct business to move the organization forward. This year within NHCIBOR and NECPE we’ve managed to quickly change gears to host zoom board meetings and host market updates to our membership on all the changes going on with Covid. In addition we’ve also renegotiated the Catylist contract and debated from public policy to the annual budget.
With December and the holidays upon us, I wanted to remind membership of the Tower of Toys fundraiser. With Covid-19 the demand for gifts/toys for families in need is greater than ever. This makes supporting the Tower of Toys effort even more critical. Checks made out to NH CIBOR Cares (Tower of Toys in memo line) can be sent to NHCIBOR 166 S River Road, Bedford NH 03110.
100% of the money raised will be put towards purchasing toys for kids of all ages (including teens).
With a new year, comes a new president and as I pass the presidential torch, I wanted to congratulate Joe Friedman to his upcoming role and also welcome all the new board members for both NHCIBOR and NECPE that we will be working with next year.
It’s been an honor to serve the membership for both NHCIBOR and NECPE and I wanted to personally thank Allison Ropes our Executive Officer as she works hard behind the scenes to keep both boards working like clockwork and makes it that much easier for all of us to get our jobs done. In addition I’d like to thank past President Doug Martin for his guidance and help through my term and 2020.
