Call To Action: Expand housing opportunities with SB 400

The New Hampshire House of Representatives will vote later this week on Senate Bill 400, designed to speed up zoning and planning board decisions, streamline any appeal process and create incentives for affordable housing.

TAKE ACTION HERE

Although the bill enjoys broad bi-partisan support, the House Municipal and County Committee added a last-minute “poison pill” amendment designed to undermine the bill. NHAR has worked with a group of bi-partisan legislators as well as housing advocates on an amendment, sponsored by Joe Alexander (R-Goffstown) and Karen Umberger (R-Conway), which eliminates the problematic Committee language and restores the bill’s intent to expand housing opportunities.

Please, use the link above and take one minute to ask your Representative to support the “Alexander/Umberger Amendment” to Senate Bill 400.
