Happy Spring!!  We made it through the Winter.  The sap is beginning to flow on the maple trees and I see perennials popping up in my gardens.

If you are a member of CIBOR and NECPE, you know that NECPE changed platforms from Catylist to Moody’s in September.  It has been six months, and much of the initial rocky road has been paved.  There are a few outstanding issues that the NECPE Board is working with Moody’s to correct and make continuous improvements.

This platform has many enhanced benefits over the old Catylist platform that you may not be aware of.

  • Users now have Tenant information for buildings.

  • Historical vacancy rates for buildings and areas

  • Muni data is automatically downloaded, including property lines – a huge time saver when listing properties

  • There are interactive maps with environmental risks, i.e. flood, seawater, water stress

  • Location score is available to determine safety, economic vitality, community amenities, and transportation.

  • A drawing tool is available to mark off an area for a specific property search.

  • Moody scrubs incoming data to publish listings by non-members, enhancing the search for active properties and comps. These non-member agents cannot list or search the NECPE data themselves without a full membership.

  • There is an interactive Moody’s help desk that will guide a user to a resolution or correct any errors the user may discover while listing a property.

It’s important to note that NECPE is now a robust marketing platform that serves five boards and five New England states: New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

On another note, CIBOR has great networking and educational events coming soon, including the annual golf tournament, the annual BBQ, and business after-hours events.  Check out the CIBOR website for dates and locations.  See you there!!
