President’s Message April 2016

NH CIBOR just produced another successful, interesting and informative commercial real estate course entitled “Understanding Environmental Impacts and How They Can Affect Your Real Estate Transaction”. This course was put on by a panel of experts from Nobis Engineering and included lively discussion and interaction from the audience. The panel discussion focused on how environmental issues affect real estate deals and also highlighted many unique aspects of environmental issues specific to the State of New Hampshire.

CIBOR has endeavored to provide quality educational programs that are relevant to our members and the commercial real estate industry in New Hampshire. I believe we have succeeded in doing this and plan to do more. We are consciously beginning to shape our educational programs into a curriculum that provides its participants with a working knowledge of the commercial real estate industry with a focus on how we conduct business in this state. Our program has become one which not only provides ongoing credits toward New Hampshire real estate license renewal but also trains its participants in the commercial real estate trade.

A NH CIBOR member who receives their license renewal credits by completing commercial real estate courses endorsed by NH CIBOR is recognized and documented as a professional commercial real estate practitioner. That is a fact.

Next year no one will be able to sell commercial real estate in New Hampshire without being a member of NH CIBOR and receiving their license renewal credits by completing commercial real estate courses endorsed by NH CIBOR. That is an April Fool’s joke.

All joking aside, if you’re involved in the business of commercial real estate in New Hampshire you will benefit by being a member of NH CIBOR. If you’re not a member please join, if you are a member please refer a colleague, client or friend.

Sincerely,
Bob Marchewka
